Let CARS show you how easy it is to make a difference in Houston! Follow these steps to complete the donation process:

Choose a nonprofit; then call us at 1-855-500-RIDE (855-500-7433). You can also fill out our secure car donation form online and within 24 hours a representative from CARS will contact you to complete your donation.

Schedule a free pick up with our licensed tow company at your convenience. They’ll arrive within 72 hours and give you a tax receipt before they transport your car to our sale location.

Following the sale of your vehicle (within 30 days), you’ll receive a tax deduction receipt and forms for your donation.

In addition to showing support for a Houston charity or non-profit you’ll also receive a tax deduction for your generous donation.
According to the IRS’ A Donor’s Guide to Vehicle Donations you can only deduct the fair market value for your car on your income tax- the fair market value being- the amount someone would give you for it. In our effort to maximize the fair market value so you receive the highest tax deduction for your donation, we send all vehicle donations to one of our sale locations. It is there we evaluate each vehicle; and when cost effective, make either minor and/or major repairs to ensure the maximum amount is received for every donation. For donors this means increasing the value of your tax deduction.
