Currently, CARS is unaware of any special notification requirements for Arkansas.
However, the state recommends completing a Notification of Transfer of Ownership because it relieves you of liability.
Transfer of Ownership
There are 3 ways in Arkansas to notify the DFA that you have donated your vehicle: online, in person, or by mail. You can find more information and forms for each notification method below:
1. TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP ONLINE:
*PREFERRED METHOD* If possible, we highly recommend completing forms online instead of by mail, so you may easily save and print out a copy for your records that includes a date/timestamp. Also, when completed online, a receipt can be printed ensuring it's been received.

2. TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP IN PERSON:
- Please print and complete the Transfer of Ownership Form.
- Deliver the completed Transfer of Ownership Form to:

3. TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP BY MAIL OR FAX:
- Please print and complete the Transfer of Ownership Form.
- Mail the completed Transfer of Ownership Form to:
