HOW TO HANDLE THE LICENSE PLATES WHEN YOU DONATE A CAR, TRUCK, SUV OR OTHER STANDARD VEHICLE IN OKLAHOMA
Please remove the license plates of your donated vehicle before the pick-up. When the owner of a vehicle sells, trades, or otherwise transfers the ownership of the vehicle, the owner must remove all License Plate(s) and the vehicle will be considered unlicensed.

There are two ways in Oklahoma to notify the OTC (Oklahoma Tax Commission) that you have donated your car: in person or by mail. Currently, there is no option available online. You can find more information and forms for each notification method below:
1. TO COMPLETE THE NOTICE OF TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP FORM IN PERSON:
