There are 2 ways in West Virginia to notify the WV DMV that you have donated your vehicle or watercraft: in person or by mail. You can find more information and forms for each notification method below:
1. TO COMPLETE THE SOLD NOTICE IN PERSON:
- Please print and complete the Sold Vehicle/Watercraft Notice Form.
- Submit to your regional DMV office. Click HERE to locate your regional DMV office.

Unless the license plates are being transferred to another vehicle, please remove and return the donated vehicle's license plates to your regional DMV as soon as possible.
